100 Things About Me:Episode 1

I used to have a diaryland page...but it costs $$ so I'm revamping & moving over here.  Check out http://minniepearl.diaryland.com to read the old stuff.

But now on to the first installment of All You Ever Wanted to Know but Didn't Really Ask About Katie.
1. I live in a suburb of Washington DC.
2. I moved here 5 years ago from Kentucky.
3. My first apartment in DC was in a log cabin.  I'm not even joking.
4. I've lost 100 lbs over the last year & 1/2.
5. I still have a bit more weight to lose.  Like 50 lbs more...
6. I would sell my soul for a Diet Pepsi.
7. But I can't have my glorious DP as it makes me terribly gassy.
8. I'm not afraid to discuss my bodily functions with you.  You have been warned...
9. I'm married to my perfect man.  His name is Ian.
10. We got married 2 years ago.
11. I want to be a librarian when I grow up.
12. I'm a maker of crafty things.
13. I'm a terrible knitter.  But I try hard at it.
14. I'm a damn good cook.
15. I slept with a Snoopy doll until I got married when I was 27.  And I only stopped sleeping with him because his head fell off.  Now he lives in my closet, his head has been reattached.
16.  My favorite band is The Counting Crows.
17.  I met Adam Duritz at the 9:30 Club and was amazed at how sexy a man with dreadlocks     scotch taped to his bald head can be.  Really.
18. My husband is bald and I love it.
19. I once worked as a ride operator in an amusement park on the beach in California.
20. The only ride I didn't learn how to run was the Ferris Wheel & since operating it involved math I didn't learn.
21. I can also make cotton candy, so if you ever need a carnie you know who to call.
22. My top five favorite things to talk about are:1. books, 2. movies, 3. celebrity gossip, 4. shopping, 5. music
23. I have a younger brother named Jimmy, he's 26.
24. My parents are still married to each other.
25. My childhood was like a Norman Rockwell painting.

Tune in tomorrow for more sad attempts at humor!  Whoo!

God Bless DP!!! Too bad about the gassy, though. I'll be sure to drink enough for both of us. Also? I can operate a ferris wheel, but they never told me anything about math... hmmm...
